Today a teacher saw my new tongue piercing and she gasped and said “shame on you”. What the hell? Not every person who gets their tongue pierced does it with the intentions she probably thought I had. As a matter of fact, I’ve wanted my tongue pierced since I was 14. Before I even knew people got them for that reason. Sorry I’m not the model student/sheltered child you raised your kids to be. My mom raised me with good morals and self-respect as well as a sense of individuality. So shame on YOU for trying to make me seem like a bad person infront of the class because of a metal bar in my mouth.
I turned 18 today and, as my gift, my dad got my tongue pierced. I have 4 other non-ear piercings (lip, tongue web, nostril, and eyebrow) and I have to say that the tongue probably was the 2nd least painful. I still say that my lip was painless.
